KSER Voice of the Community Award

KSER is a forum for diverse voices and views in our community. Our goal is keep listeners informed about important issues in our community, and foster civic engagement.

Each year we recognize an individual who gives voice to issues and concerns in our area and makes a positive contribution to our community.

2008 Voice of the Community nominees

  • Kathy Jacobson, who established a welcoming place with Wired & Unplugged where people can share their talents
  • Louise Lindgren, who led the way to save Heybrook Ridge from clear cutting, preserving it for future generations
  • Jody McVittie, who is the voice of accountability for many land use and transportation issues throughout the county.
  • Jan Tilly, who uses strong networking skills to bring together donations of food and volunteers for the hungry

KSER is about community.

You can find us everywhere in the North Puget Sound, from concerts and events, like Fresh Paint, to community forums and gatherings like last year's election forums at the Historic Everett Theatre.

Our volunteers are also involved through-out the community.
